Philips is hiring an Intelligent Automation Developer for its engineering and digital services group in Chennai. This role sits within the enterprise transformation layer, focusing on building, maintaining, and tuning Robotic Process Automation (RPA) scripts to streamline health technology workflows. Working alongside Business Analysts, Tech Leads, and Program Managers, you will translate process designs into technical automation routines. The role involves managing the automation project funnel, drafting project charters, maintaining script quality, and debugging system inconsistencies to ensure delivery stays within scope and schedule.
Key Technologies:
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or Microsoft Power Automate), DevOps Practices, Agile Methodologies, Scripting Frameworks
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical stream; OR High School Diploma / Vocational Education background.
- No prior experience required if applying with a formal Bachelor's Degree. Minimum of 2 years of professional hands-on experience in DevOps Practices, Software Development, IT Applications, Automation Scripting, or Agile Methodologies if applying with Vocational Education.
- Practical ability to construct, deploy, and update RPA scripts in strict conformance with technical guidelines, system design specifications, and tooling capability limitations.
- Demonstrated skill tracking script performance anomalies, performing systematic data or workflow reconciliation, and running root-cause analysis on automated process crashes.
- Capacity to manage a funnel of active and requested automated pipelines, construct standardized project charters, and flag delivery bottlenecks that threaten time, scope, or budget lines.
- Continuous maintenance of procedural knowledge regarding environment systems, configuration boundaries, code safety controls, and scripting guidelines.
- Active analytical and problem-solving habits, clear technical communication patterns, and a collaborative mindset to coordinate with multi-functional business units.
